Description
A circa 1937 model made of a Duralumin frame with black anodized Duralumin side plates, 3 1/2" in diameter with a 1 3/8" wide spool. The 3/0 size reel with ribbed alloy foot features one roller pillar, built in a position for "rings up" mounting, and for right-hand wind only. On the face plate, two Royal Appointment medallions are found, with a third that carries the model name, size and maker. On the tail plate side, a sliding click switch is found, along with a seven position drag adjustment with sliding oil port cover, as well as personalized initials "R.V. McK.", Condition of this rare salmon fly reel with its 1 3/4:1 retrieve ratio is VG+, due to a drag that only works should the reel tilt to the handle side a bit.
